C3 Meeting Diversity Audit Exploration
Throughout my time at OHM BOCES, one of my responsibilities has been to help plan programming and training for the Communication Coordinator Committee meetings for area school librarians. A focus for these meetings in 2018-2019 and beyond was Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the school library setting. I attended and turn-keyed, as well as created and collaborated on many trainings and programs. This slideshow is an example of a 2+ hour collaborative training with a local school librarian. We attended national online trainings and practiced in our own settings before developing a program to help train area school librarians on how to do a Diversity Audit of their library collections, programs, and space.
